Mother Scholar & Motherwork

As a mother scholar, my research, advocacy, and academic pursuits are deeply intertwined with my lived experiences as a Black mother navigating educational spaces for my children. My motherwork extends beyond personal advocacy to scholarship that amplifies the voices of Black mothers in school choice, equity, and culturally responsive family engagement strategies.
Through my research, consulting, and community involvement, I bridge the gap between academia and practice, ensuring that Black mothers’ agency and insights shape educational policy and reform.
